For our 2013 fall vacation we went to Oregon and Washington states for 2 weeks.

The first week in Oregon we did a 7 day backpack in the Eagle Cap Wilderness in the Wallowa Mtns. We entered the wilderness from the northern Two Pan trailhead. We did a circular route from the trailhead to Mirror Lake, then to Frazier Lake, then to Horseshoe Lake, then to Minam Lake, and then finally back out to the Two Pan trailhead. We enjoyed two lay-over days, one at Mirror Lake where we day hiked up to the peak of Eagle Cap, and one at Frazier Lake where we day hiked up to the top of Hawkins Pass. We averaged about 7 miles of backpacking/hiking every day.

The second week we visited friends in Chehalis and Port Orchard, WA, and family in Seattle. We also managed to squeeze in a day hike at Mt St Helens where we hiked to Mt Margaret, and at Mt Ranier where we hiked the SkyLine trail at the Paradise visitor's center.

Pictures and a description of our trip is included in the following photo album.
