In February of 2013, we went to Phoenix. The main purpose of our trip was to visit Phoenix's Musical Instrument Museum (the MIM) because Diane's uncle was the founding Director and President of the MIM. He was leaving the museum soon for other opportunities and we wanted to see the museum while he was still there. Along with seeing the museum, we decided to spend a few days at the Grand Canyon and at Sedona. While in Flagstaff heading for the canyon we got stuck in a blizzard. When we finally got to the canyon it was covered with a beautiful 6 inch dusting of fresh snow. We did some day hiking and touristy visits. In Sedona we stayed at Junipine Resort, a few miles north of Sedona, in a beautiful, quiet, peaceful, wooded canyon. We took a Pink Jeep tour in the redrock country and also did a few short day hikes. Below is the link to our trip's photo album. We hope you enjoy the vicarious travel as much as we enjoyed the actual trip.
